20 Mistakes Make Me Wonder..., 2007
20 fluorescent lights prepared to malfunction, aluminum structures and cables.
20 Mistakes Make Me Wonder..., reflects upon the importance of the artist featuring noise in the creation of the interface- an object or a situation where two, or more, subjects or systems meet and interact. The work is presented in the form of 20 fluorescent lights, prepared to mal-function, vertically installed in 20 aluminum structures and displayed in a grid. This work could be named faulty minimalism, if it was not intent as such. The obvious exploration of faults and mistakes in the definition of what should be a neutral, minimal, interface, raises question that are fundamental to understand an interface and consequently an work of art: how discernible should an interface be? what are the implications of that discernibility?
